Shopping should come with clear information about your privacy. This policy explains how your information is used across the store and Isekai, who receives it, and how to ask for access, corrections or deletion.
1. Who this policy covers
SerikaStore (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information it uses to run this storefront and the Serika Isekai marketplace. This policy covers browsing, signing in, shopping, selling, bidding and contacting support.
For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. Serika Accounts handles your central account and sign-in service. Payment providers, delivery companies and Isekai sellers may also be responsible for information they use for their own services or legal duties; their privacy notices apply to that processing.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your Serika account identifier, email, username, profile image where supplied, verification and account-access status. We check Serika+ membership and anniversary eligibility when needed for store benefits or marketplace publishing. Your Serika password is entered with Serika Accounts, not the store.
- Shopping and delivery: cart contents, names, billing and shipping addresses, contact details, purchased items, prices, discounts, order history, tracking, returns and refunds.
- Payments: payment references, amounts, currency, payment status and information needed to reconcile payments or handle disputes. Payment details are collected through Stripe and the payment method you choose. The store does not collect your full card number or security code in its own forms.
- Marketplace activity: seller profiles, listing descriptions and photos, bids and maximum bids, watched listings, sales, payout-account references, reports and moderation records. Stripe collects seller identity and bank information during payout onboarding; we receive account status and references needed to enable selling.
- Support: messages and attachments you send, together with the account or order details needed to answer you.
- Technical information: connection and request information, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps and error or security logs processed by the website and its infrastructure providers.
Information comes from you, Serika Accounts, payment and delivery providers, and your activity on the service. If you give us another person’s delivery details, make sure you are authorised to do so and share this policy with them. Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents to support.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
- Providing the service and fulfilling contracts: signing you in, maintaining your cart, processing payments, delivering orders, managing returns, applying membership benefits and running marketplace listings, bids and sales. We also use information to take steps you request before a purchase.
- Legal obligations: maintaining required transaction and tax records, dealing with statutory consumer claims and responding to valid legal demands.
- Legitimate interests: protecting accounts and payments, enforcing fair purchase limits, investigating abuse, moderating listings, resolving disputes and diagnosing service problems. Our interests are a secure, reliable store and fair trading; we must consider your rights when relying on this basis.
- Consent: where required for optional marketing or non-essential tracking. Consent must be requested separately; buying something or accepting the terms does not itself consent to marketing. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Required checkout, sign-in and seller information is needed to provide those features. You can browse without an account, but withholding required information may prevent us from accepting an order, delivering it or enabling marketplace activity.
5. Privacy on Isekai
Published seller profiles, listings, item photos and bidding activity are visible to other visitors. Public bid history uses masked bidder names; your maximum bid is not shown to other bidders or sellers. Do not put private contact details, identity documents or another person’s information in public listings or photos.
The seller receives the buyer’s contact and delivery information needed to fulfil a sale. Buyers and sellers can view the transaction details relevant to their sale, including tracking. Moderators can review listings and reports to investigate problems. Sellers must use buyer details only for the transaction and their legal obligations, not unsolicited marketing.
Public content may be copied or indexed by others. Removing a listing from the marketplace cannot remove independent copies elsewhere on the internet.
7. How long information is kept
Retention depends on the purpose and the type of record, rather than a single deadline for all data:
- Account and saved delivery details support your ongoing use of the store. You can edit saved addresses and ask support to close your store account or erase information.
- Orders, invoices, payments and refunds are retained for applicable accounting, tax and consumer-claim requirements. Dutch basic business records generally require at least seven years; some tax records can require ten years.
- Support messages, security and moderation records are kept as needed to resolve the issue, investigate incidents and establish or defend legal claims.
- Preorder and anniversary claims include account identifiers or hashed account/address references to enforce purchase limits. A refund or cancellation does not automatically remove a claim. These references are still personal data and can be included in a privacy request.
- Marketplace records may need to remain available for outstanding sales, payment disputes, reporting obligations and moderation reviews even after a public listing is removed.
We assess deletion requests against outstanding transactions and legal retention duties, and explain any information we must keep. Deleting browser storage or signing out does not delete server records. Backup copies may persist until the relevant backup cycle expires; they must not be used to restore information for unrelated purposes.
8. International processing and security
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR transfer restrictions apply, transfers require an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and any necessary additional measures. Contact [email protected] for information about the safeguards applicable to your data and how to obtain a copy.
Access controls, protected connections and checks on account and transaction access help protect information. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. If you suspect unauthorised account access, secure your Serika account and contact support promptly.
9. Purchase limits and automated checks
Automated checks compare account status, membership eligibility and previous purchase claims. For limited preorders, a normalised shipping address and account reference help enforce the one-per-account and one-per-address rule. Checks can block a duplicate checkout or a benefit claim. Marketplace rules also determine bidding outcomes and whether a listing needs moderator review.
If a check appears wrong, contact [email protected] to ask for a human review and explain your circumstances. Where applicable data-protection law provides safeguards for decisions made solely by automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects, you may request human intervention, give your views and contest the decision.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you can ask to access or receive a copy of your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, or receive eligible information in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Email [email protected] with your request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally free, and we respond within one month. If a lawful extension is needed because of complexity or the number of requests, we explain it within that month; the extension can be up to two further months.
Your account lets you manage certain details; it does not provide a complete self-service export or deletion tool. Store requests and changes to your central Serika Accounts profile may need to be handled separately. Erasure rights do not override information we must retain by law.
You may complain to a data-protection authority, including the authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
11. Children and policy updates
The store is not designed to collect information from children independently of the permissions required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information without the necessary authorisation, contact us so we can assess and address it.
We update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be brought to your attention as appropriate, and new consent will be requested when required. See the Terms of Service for purchasing and marketplace rules.
